Gilly Hicks Design Work: Spring/Summer 2024 - Performance & Active Lifestyle Product

From conceptualization through to execution of fit, I designed with the intention to create emotional, impactful and streamlined assortments, and collaborated with our tech team to perfect the overall fit and function of garments. I was able to coach and support my growing team to become more thoughtful, experimental designers, keeping a razor-sharp attention to detail at all times.

A sub-brand of Abercrombie & Fitch, Gilly Hicks is a retailer for teens and young adults, with a presence in over 500 stores globally. The brand is centered around movement, youthful optimism and effortless trend. As the lead Active and Lifestyle designer, my job was to support in the rebrand and long-term growth of Gilly: helping to grow the Male & Female Active businesses, develop a team of five designers, and maintain a balance of trend and core product.

Product experience:
Developing all active base-layer fabric franchises for total brand (including nylon span, recycled polyesters, seamless, rib textures, performance-quality finishes), layering product (knits, fleece, lightweight technical poly and nylons), sports bra pad development, all performance-ready trim development for relevant categories, CLO 3D design.
